Calgary Location: Brentwood Sportsplex (2nd floor) - 1520B Northmount Dr. NW map
Cost: $35.00
Time: Registration from 8:30 - 9:30 am
Format: Innistrad Sealed Deck (ea. player receives 6 packs of Innistrad). Swiss with Top 8 Booster Draft
Prizes: Winner receives travel award to PT Dark Ascension in Honolulu, February 10-12, 2012. Product prizes to players with Swiss records of X-2 or better.
Note: All product prizes are based on Swiss record.
Side events: 8-man Innistrad Booster Drafts and Standard Win-a-Box tournaments will be available at the event.
Never offer (or accept) to exchange ANYTHING for a match result. This is a disqualifiable offense.

And on a less exciting note, I'd like to announce that these events will be my last as premier organizer for Alberta. I've been doing this 10 years, and have enjoyed every event. While I know I've been far from the perfect organizer, I'd like to think I was able to give the Magic community here a chance to play in well managed and officiated events with decent prizes at a fair price. I sincerely hope that good events will be continue to be available here long after I've been forgotten about as an organizer, as I suspect I'll always been around as a player. Thanks to everyone who has attended these events, whether as a player or an official. Special thanks to Mike Bower, Mike Handfield (mainly for flunking your L2 in Seattle and essentially throwing Alberta's premier tournaments on me by default), Gavin Duggan, and Katherine Denis for your advice, help, and friendship over the years. I also have to acknowledge Catherine Folan for giving me my start and Mark Comey for being my right hand man for so many years. I miss you both.
